She would walk into EVERY SINGLE HOUSE! Her brothers would want to die. I would just smile.
I repainted that picture this year too. At 18, her brothers stayed home and passed out candy, but she came along to the carnival with her 7 year-old siblings. She had the time of her life! She slid on the slides, jumped in those bouncy houses and knocked on the doors that were passing out candy. As she laughed her belly laugh, I cried my happy tears that she was enjoying things as only she can. :)tripntwinmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04314309476541397989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8077151913672187133.post-37907072865875650692014-11-04T12:42:06.187-08:002014-11-04T12:42:06.187-08:00Thank you for this!!!

Which is understandable because we paint beautiful pictures in our minds and sometimes reality just doesn't look like that.”
I needed this reminder. Sunday, we had family pictures in the park. I had this perfect fall/magical family picture all ready to go in my mind, but what I got was kids running away from us, a lot of screaming and at one point a child licking my shoulder! Maybe we will get lucky and one picture will turn out in the mist of that chaos. If not, then everyone is getting a reality glimpse on our Christmas card this year! My dreams don't HAVE to be HIS dreams, right? And if he chooses something different, that's OK? Ugh. And TWIX and Reese's make everything better. And a little wine. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8077151913672187133.post-54388329012109282762014-11-03T21:56:39.692-08:002014-11-03T21:56:39.692-08:00So much of life is coming to terms with the disapp...So much of life is coming to terms with the disappointments of life not turning out how you THOUGHT is was going to be...and the heart-stopping moments when it's more than you ever DREAMED it would be. I'm so grateful that you capture both of those sentiments.

And seriously, the sugar detox is the worst (wine helps though, right? I'm hoping...!)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17285537502589130920noreply@blogger.com
