Grey has his head on my shoulder...watching me type... I was just on the Life with Greyson + Parker Facebook page, reading comments...Greyson was fascinated- and I swear reading too...
They love you, Grey...they really really love you... I told him...and he giggled... I think he understands...
Despite the fact that we got home a little later than Parker's bedtime tonight, I took extra time rocking him to sleep... Usually when Michael is out of town I can't wait to get Doodle into his bed so I can have some free time...I practically use a sling shot to get him into his crib so I can run into my room with my bed and my jammies and my computer and my Greyson... But tonight I snuggled him in tight and we rocked...because he is so sweet and so little...and he's just so squishy and fits just right in my nook...and I know- he won't be this little forever...
We were later getting home this evening because we were playing at a Friend's house... Greyson was in pink house heaven... We all loved the break in our routine...
These quiet evenings are a stark contrast to mornings in our house...we never have enough time...we are always in a huge hurry... There's a flying mess of Gluten Free waffles and juice and did I brush Grey's teeth and brush his hair and don't forget his lunch or jacket and a million other things...
Greyson starts school a little bit earlier than the rest of the school- they stagger the start time... As I was driving out of the school parking lot after I dropped Greyson off this morning- I looked around at the other parents dropping off their kiddos...they all looked like I had just a few minutes prior...Lips pursed, scowls in tact- walking so fast kids could barely keep up or white knuckling their steering wheels... I had to giggle now that I was on the other side of it...why in the heck are mornings so stressful? What if we decided mornings weren't allowed to be so horribly chaotic and tough? Then what would we do? Friday for fun- at morning drop off- let's pretend like we are not in a hurry...let's make sure to smile really big...take an extra moment for I love yous and did you grab your jacket and any other love messages we need to pass along...
Unfortunately afternoon naps for Greyson became a casualty due to constant therapy... And now even when we have therapy breaks it is impossible to get him to take one... Today we had a welcomed break, and as we were watching a movie- he fell asleep...
I was shocked... Oh Friend- he works so dang hard...it makes me sad and so proud all swirled into one...
I love rectangular toddler feet as much as I love little baby ones...
I almost got a double nap- but Parker woke up 3 minutes into Grey's slumber...
Time for me to go to sleep...I'm going to let Greyson sleep in my bed tonight to remind me how painful repeatedly getting kicked in the face is...
Have a great weekend...
Much Love,
Chrissy
