A bottle of happy

If only every day was as easy as today... And as I type that, I wondered... was today actually easy...or did it just feel easy because my attitude was good?...If I can figure out how to bottle that up...A Happy Attitude...I will make millions... But the millions won't make me as happy, as my Bottle of Happy....that I invented.

Today was the last day for the Summer program at Greyson's Typical Preschool- Where the Garden Grows...We will continue to grow our garden long after we leave... Words can not be attached to feelings to adequately explain my heart for this joint. A bit of Magic and Love mixed with Rainbows and Happy....

Photobucket We will be back when Parker is of age...

While Grey was at school Parker and I had awesome quality alone time. We went to one of my favorite Greyson-food markets...All organic and old fashioned, chock full of gluten-less loot.

Baby buns and thighs... {sigh}.

Although I've lived in Fresno California for 2 years now, I still have to use my GPS everywhere I go.... I call her Carmen...and I'm still a little surprised that I get my directions from a girl... I just trust her. She rarely steers me wrong...And if she does, she tells me she is recalculating...If Michael tells me to go one way, and she tells me another...I go with what she says...

I wish I could ask her about so much more...wouldn't it be great if we all had our own personal decision maker that 100% of the time- correctly told us what to do?... We couldn't screw up and make the wrong decision.  I can't wait until that machine is invented.

The Garmin Decision Maker...Due out Spring of 2014.

Following steps and directions is hard for Greyson too. This is called a task strip- and it helps him complete activities that have more than 2 steps involved....

I can still remember being a little girl...taking a shower- frequently yelling out- MOM! I can't remember- Which comes first- Conditioner or Shampoo? It's amazing how much we have learned to get to where we are today.

We had another Community Outing for ABA (Greyson's Therapy). His Teacher and the School Psych come to observe his behavior- and help give tips to keep him well behaved (ie- safe) in situations that can be extra stressful if you have a Spectrum Kid. Once again- He got the memo that he was being observed- and he was on his best behavior. Not to mention- Jamba Juice buys a lot as far as bribery is concerned...

It's funny... I don't know if it's because of Greyson or just how I tick- but I never look or judge when I see a kid flip out in public. I just shoot the Mom sympathetic eyes and try not to snicker while I think, Thank God that's not my kid right now... {Unless the Mom is on the phone ignoring her flipping out child...then I totally judge the Mom.}

Michael got back in town and all was right with the World. While Michael got settled in- we went down the street with a friend to swim at their Country Club...Greyson's current idea of Disney World.

We are pushing him outside his comfort zone more and more in the water. Breaking down learning to swim in manageable Behavior Therapy- Spectrum Kid steps... We practice kick kick kick and paddle paddle paddle  in and outside of the water...

We practically stayed until close...

Something about a still pool....is the most peaceful thing I have ever seen in my life...

  3. It was great meeting you and your boys. Camden woke up and asked if he could swim with Ella and his new friend! Your pictures are amazing. I can't believe how well they turned out with just a few casual clicks. Having beautiful kids doesn't hurt either. :-)

  4. I love the GPS example. A couple weeks back a pastor used a similar example with "recalculating" and the bible. It really hit home. Thanks for all your beautiful pictures and posts.
