Caffeine and other blessings

I'm thinking of starting a not for profit organization to help Mother's addicted to caffeine like myself. Not to get them to quit caffeine- but to help us get more of it. And I won't just be a Member...I'll be the President...You may think we have Oprah money based on the frequency of my trips to Starbucks. That's not the case, but luckily, spending money at Starbucks is like spending money at Target... Money isn't real there. You can buy whatever you want-whenever you want... even if you don't need it.

And the things in the dollar aisle? Pile 'em in. They are only a dollar! Dollars don't add up at Target. Of course you need that small $1 notebook with the awesome Chevron print. And those Animal Crackers. The star-shaped ice tray? Why not- July 4th is only three hundred and some odd days away...It's practically as if you are saving money by spending it in the dollar aisle. Go for it. You deserve it!

Yesterday evening I was holding a grudge against Jack the Dog....we usually cuddle together at night but I was going to give him the cold shoulder for getting loose yesterday...until he came to my side of the bed. He gives this Hmmm? Scooby Doo sound... It's not a bark or a growl...it's as if he is asking, Can I come up? And he waits patiently until I pat the bed next to me and then jumps up. Last night I let him up right away. I couldn't stay mad. I let him know that when he was running on the street like mad yesterday, that it worried me...that it wasn't time to run or play at that moment...I told him that I was no longer mad at him...I was mad at the choices he had made. He let me know that he is sad I haven't taken him on walk in at least a week- and he said that's why he was smiling and running with such holy cow I'm FREE giddiness...I explained that the 100 plus degree weather is just too dang hot for a dog and I wasn't the 5am work out kind of gal...and we both understood where the other was coming from. I felt better after we had our little talk.

I even bought them a treat at the store to say I'm sorry for not walking you. I'm pretty sure it's going to make them poop their brains out.

I also bought myself a treat I had never tried before. Trying to add some healthy to my regimen since I don't believe in a diet of deprivation. This bar tasted like death and burnt and hungover and rotten spinach. Horrible. I made the poor babysitter here tonight try it too so I had someone to talk to about how horrific it was. Does anyone out there like them? I'm curious. I won't judge you- I'll just be in awe. And I'll give you the other one I bought.

Tell your people in your life what is on your mind. They deserve to know. Like Jack and I- you guys can work it out if you both are reasonable people. If they are bad seeds {like the raw bar} in the first place- I give you permission to forget about it. But you actually have to forget about it...let it go.

Do you know how sometimes you need a vacation from your vacation? Well I need a massage from my massage yesterday. Still in pain...

Apparently when you hide your back brace in your locker in high school, it doesn't do the trick of keeping your spine very straight. Soon after graduating college, I had my thoracic spine fused complete with pins, rods and screws- to avoid any further curvature. That's when I decided that I wasn't going to let something like unbendable rods hold me back and I decided then that I would some day run a marathon....and do yoga...And ride horses...and anything else I was told I may not be able to do... Like a little kid---a good way to get me to do something- is to tell me I can't. Go ahead! I dare you.

On occasion I still short circuit. (like Ted) Some days I feel like I am 38 going on 92 (like today).

Like here... 4 years ago I had cervical disks 4 and 5 fused together for a herniated disk. They go through the front of your neck and I've got a nice scar to prove it. I think scars are beautiful. They make us real. (or in my case- kinda like a robot and real). Done a few days before Belle was spayed. She kept me company.

Today we played outside early- before it got in the hundies. I'll pick hot over cold any day of the year- so I will never complain about the heat. (Unless I change my mind and decide to complain...which I've been known to do.)

Photobucket And later we played inside...and despite what I'm sure amounts to thousands of dollars in toys...

  1. when I was little I was fascinated by the measuring tape daddy had at work.
I'm pretty sure we had one at home too, but it was special treat to come see dad during work day and sit in his high spinning chair and play with the huge measuring tape they had...aaaw memories.
btw - painting world grey with the stickers around here at my university, at home with a little help from dad (he gave few away at orienteering-run competition he helped to organize and then worked as coach for parents who came to run with little kids) and also my sis it sticking them around Corsica as I've included them in her surprise beach care package :)

now this is one really long comment :)
    oh well..

    take care
