good. news.

Today was just a regular old day in the life of being a Mom...

I cheered Parker on during Speech Therapy.

And then I got a phone call...

Don't you just HATE it when NBC calls and wants to come over in a few hours and your house is a wreck and you haven't showered?

Me too. But look at how clean we got it.

Because I shoved it all in here.

We waited for Frank and our weekly visit.

We had a heart felt and cozy little interview inside.

While they spun gold in the truck outside.

And in case this is your first time here, this is the POST that started it all.

Oh Friend, what an amazing day. We are tentatively scheduled to be on The Today Show tomorrow morning and on The Nightly News with Brian Williams in the evening. There is always a possibility that both stories could be bumped, so don't get your hopes up. Whatever happens, it will all work out in the end. It always does.

So this post is short because I'm all talked out and I need to go to bed tonight at a reasonable hour so I can not sleep a wink.

Thank you for being here right along side us. We are doing it, Friend.

WE are. We are changing the World.

So much Love,

Chrissy

  12. Well done ! I can't remember how I found you but it was a while ago and you got me with your heartfelt post on how you really felt about not being able to protect your boys from this diagnosis. I had a dear friend tell me through tears that if her son had a diagnosed disease instead of autism....at least she would not be alone. Flowers, casseroles , help and support would invade her house and she would not be alone. Thank you for putting a spotlight on how it is to love a child with autism. You are not alone anymore . Keep pushing....you are one strong momma. Hugs from The Lou !

To take your message to such a big stage takes courage & putting yourself out there can be scary. Thank you, again, for sharing your stories & your heart.
Love & happiness to you sweet momma, Jennifer

  20. Hi Krissy:

What a wonderful story of your boy with Autism. PLEASE contact Kerri Rivera at kerririvera@yahoo.com. She has cured 97 children with Autism within the past 2 1/2 years! She has a clinic in Puerto Vallarta, even though she was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She also received her doctorate in homeopathy medicine, as well as wrote a book called Healing the symptoms known as Autism. It's $25 and the best money you will ever spend. Please think twice about vaccinating your younger son. Your little guy looks like he can be recovered, so please contact Kerri!

  23. Chrissy,

I have been reading your blog for awhile now. Needless to say I love it!!! You are an amazing writer and an inspirational mommy. I just saw your feature story on NBC. I was so excited I literally shushed my 2 1/2 year old (shushing others is a HUGE pet peeve of mine) but I just HAD to hear the story :). I truly feel like I am your friend despite never having met you. Your posts are open, friendly and allows the reader to "know" you in a real way. Thank you for opening your door and letting us watch your beautiful boys grow. Congrats on the heartwarming story!!

  24. Just saw your story on NBC. Very touching, and similar to one which I have observed firsthand as a behavioral therapist. I just wanted to clarify that your younger son is NOT too young to be diagnosed. I have worked with children much younger than him, and the earlier intensive interventions begin, the better the outcomes. This may be something you already know, which was simply misrepresented on the news story, but I would be remiss if I didn't make sure.

    1. Thank you. Both boys do ABA 5 days/week. Our regional center does not diagnose until 3 but allows us to treat him as if.
